We coach individual leaders and whole leadership teams. A process begins with the question our client brings to it and ends once that question has been worked through.
CDN provides executive coaching and team coaching for leaders at every level, delivered by certified coaches from an international network.
A new role, collaboration within one's own area, or a decision that is due.
We take everyone’s side rather than one side. Each party receives the same attention, and the good of the company is the measure.
We work on the conditions under which pressure builds and on the client's own priorities.
Support through a change of role or during a restructuring.
Decision paths, participation, and how differing positions are handled.
Clarity about one's own priorities and how to act on them in everyday work.
The client's development over the coming years and the steps that are due now.
The client brings the topic. The coach asks, listens and offers a different view of the situation where that is wanted. Instructions on how to run one's own area are not part of it.
A recurring subject in our sessions is the effect a leader has on others. When a situation is described, the coach goes through it step by step and asks how the other people involved might have experienced it.
We set no target outcome for an individual session.
A company that commissions coaching is told by us that the sessions took place, but receives no content. What is discussed in a session stays between the two people in it.
We state this boundary at the start, to the client and to the commissioning company, and we hold to it for the whole process.
An individual process follows one person’s question. In team coaching the subject is usually set by the commissioning company.
How the members see the current situation and the objectives can be established beforehand in individual conversations. That does not happen in every assignment; where we do work that way, we reflect the findings back to the group in condensed form.
Team coaching can take place alongside individual sessions for the leader, and the two formats stay separate, so that no content from the individual session enters the team work.
Coach is not a protected title in Germany, so the word says little on its own. In our network it stands for named qualifications, among them systemic business coaching, hypnosystemic work in the tradition of Gunther Schmidt, the Zurich Resource Model, provocative coaching, positive psychology with the PERMA-Lead profiler and mindfulness teaching.
Several members of the network teach at the Munich Academy for Business Coaching, where systemic business coaches qualify.
Coaching is not therapy. Where a topic belongs in therapy, we say so and discuss how to proceed.
Coaching is also not training. A training course conveys skills and knowledge. In coaching we bring no content of our own; we explore the subject through questions and help people find their own answers.
Leaders at every level — from team lead to managing director — as well as leadership teams. The usual triggers are a new role, a conflict, a change process, or the question of one’s own impact.
Non-directively and systemically. We do not supply solutions; we create the conditions in which our clients find their own. What emerges in the room belongs to them — we hold the room.
CDN works as a network, not as a single practice. We select from more than 20 certified coaches the one who fits the question, the industry and the language — and introduce several if there is any doubt.
German, English, Spanish and French; on site and online. Our coaches are based across Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa.
That depends on the topic and the challenge. We typically start with six to ten sessions of 60 to 120 minutes each. There is no obligation to buy a package: after every session the client decides whether to continue.
